Our team of nurses were donning their personal protective equipment while they prepared for our first test of the day. As the official test collector, Nursing Director Chrissy has upgraded her suit since the first days and looks nearly ready to walk on the moon. Thank you to our dedicated team who braved the Grays Harbor sun today to help keep our community safe.” Grays Harbor Community Hospital Drive Up Testing “Though we have been doing drive up testing for a while now, [on April 8th] we received enough orders from Grays Harbor County Public Health & Social Services Department to set up our tent stations. It’s in times when there are not enough of us, too many sick patients, and a lack of PPE that I’m most proud to be a nurse. Somehow in the chaos we find ways to get everything done all the while helping each other and even sneaking in some laughs! Covid 19 will not stop us!” – Amanda Mackey, BSN, RN Tami Green, RN, BC “My new work outfit.”
Thank you to each and every nurse. Your passion, dedication, and strength are amazing. You are our heroes. Be safe out there!
Thank you nurses for continuing to be strong in this battle. Stay true to yourselves as caregivers and advocates. Be safe out there!❤️
I would like to extend my sincere thank you to all the nurses that are working and have worked tirelessly to save lives, comfort people and support each other. You are all amazing and I hope you are all able to stay safe as well.
After working ffor over 25 years as a Social Worker (MSW) at Madigan Army Medical Center, and VAMC AMERICAN LAKE, I do have a comment. Nurses are the very backbone of the Health Care System. I wish I had an accurate number of the many Nurses that I have had the Honor to work with during my career. In the places where I worked and in our community of Pierce County , I know it is better than 100. Those who choose a career in Nursing are truly American Heroes! I respect them, applaud them, and I send my Love to ALL OF THEM!
In the time of the COVID-19 pandemic and associated challenges, the nursing profession is on the front lines. Nurses across the country (and the world) are demonstrating daily the critical role they play in our health and well-being. The daily acts of selflessness in times of adversity are inspiring. In honor of International Nurse’s Day, I have made a donation to your scholarship fund. Thank you for all you do!
