Join Rainier Olympic Nurses Association for our next book discussion.
Book: The Women by Kristen Hannah
Open to all RNs, LPNs and nursing students. Nurses who attend and complete an evaluation form will receive a certificate of attendance. This virtual event will be recorded.
“The Women is the story of one woman gone to war, but it shines a light on all women who put themselves in harm’s way and whose sacrifice and commitment to their country has too often been forgotten. A novel about deep friendships and bold patriotism, The Women is a richly drawn story with a memorable heroine whose idealism and courage under fire will come to define an era.”
Join us for a discussion facilitated by retired COL Grethe Cammermeyer. COL Cammermeyer served as an Army nurse in Vietnam for 14 months from 1967 into 1968. More than 50% of the casualties of Vietnam occurred during that time. To learn more about COL Cammermeyer, visit her website at Vietnam Revisited | cammermeyerVietnam Revisited
To further inform our discussion, COL Cammermeyer has shared some of her writings about Vietnam and as well as some additional resources.
Following the discussion, please complete the evaluation form. When you finish the evaluation, you’ll get a link to the certificate of attendance.
If you have any issues, please contact us at office@rainierolympicnurses.org.
