About

Rainier Olympic Nurses Association is a 501(c)3 nonprofit professional association of registered nurses. Our mission is to support, encourage, empower and engage current and future nurses by connecting them to each other and to their community.

Originating in the early 1900s, we’ve supported, encouraged, empowered and engaged nurses for over 110 years. Beginning as the Graduate Nurses Association of Pierce County, we’ve changed our name twice. In 1965, we became Pierce County Nurses Association. Following our expansion in 2019 to support nurses in Thurston, Kitsap, Mason, Grays Harbor, Clallam and Jefferson counties, we became Rainier Olympic Nurses Association.

If you’re a registered nurse in our region, R.O.N.A. is YOUR professional organization. We strive to support, educate and offer growth for nurses, experienced and new alike. Through newsletters, continuing education events, networking with the state organization, schools and employers, our goal is to nurses to each other and to their community.
