Career Fairs & Student Nurse Presentations:

R.O.N.A. holds virtual events and attends career fairs each year to talk with high school students and current nursing students about careers in nursing. We would love to have you join us!

Committees:

Banquet – The Banquet Committee plans and carries out the Nurses Week Banquet. They are responsible for planning the banquet’s theme, decorations, menu, entertainment and program schedule. They meet 1-2 times a year in the Fall for planning and as needed in the Spring.

Scholarship – The Scholarship Committee is responsible for selecting recipients for the R.O.N.A. scholarships and reviewing and proposing changes to the application process and applications. Each committee member is responsible for reviewing all of the applications individually and then the committee meets to finalize their selection. Both the review process and meeting occur in early April.

Fundraising – The Fundraising Committee plans and, with the support of staff, assists in the execution of our fundraising events and campaigns. Traditionally, we have two main fundraising events. Our Bowling Tournament at the end of February and a silent auction at our Nurses Week Banquet in May. The committee will develop and support additional fundraising campaigns – Giving Tuesday, monthly giving, etc. The committee meets 2-4 times a year to plan fundraising activities and help procure donations.

Education – The Education Committee is responsible for developing topics for upcoming education events and helping to find presenters. The committee meets 1-2 times in the Spring/Early Summer to plan topics for the coming year. (R.O.N.A. follows a fiscal year July to June.)

Community Outreach – The Community Outreach Committee explores opportunities to connect with members and promote R.O.N.A. The committee also meets once a year in the Fall to plan for the coming year and, again, in the Spring if needed.
