2019 Fall Education Event
Emerging Environmental Health Issues & the Relevancy to Nursing Practice
Updated Info: In response to a question at the education event about the use of Tru-D in the workplace, Karen Bowman is researching the topic. Karen writes:
“Here are my recommendations: There is potential for harm to eyes and skin with prolonged use but most importantly, the workplace must provide education on what hazard the UV poses to human health, and how workers can reduce exposure and protect themselves. I recommend nurses contact their health and safety teams or management to get safety instruction and training.”
